VENGEANCE
The Warden steals the offensive power of their enemies, making their enemies hit more weakly while empowering their own allied buffs.
The Warden is a protector of men, a fearless moving citadel around which their allies can become nearly indestructible. The Warden believes that protection is a greater honor than destruction, focusing their martial training on the shielding of allies. Carrying massive shields, they and those they are protecting are difficult to bring to their knees. The Warden wears heavy armor, weighing them down slightly, but offering them tremendous protection.
Wardens are the oldest sect of the Vaklndr and have worshiped Aesir the Bear Mother from the earliest days of recorded history. Of the first two temples ever constructed, one was to Aesir and guarded by only the greatest of Wardens until it was abandoned before the start of the great Pilgrimage. Wardens prefer a simple lifestyle, though their need of finely crafted metals for their armor and shield keeps them near major cities where the best of blacksmiths have migrated. Children are selected at the age of eleven to become Wardens, with only those showing the greatest size and athletic ability chosen. Their training is notoriously harsh, but once they have emerged, there is no more difficult foe on the battlefield to destroy.
